Ladislav Hodný: paintings

The work of Ladislav Hodný consists primarily in large abstract paintings wherein the viewers may seek hidden messages and allow themselves to be enchanted by their aesthetics and fascinating richness of color. It seems that the large areas of Hodný´s paintings quite naturally reflect the technique and motifs of book bindings. His paintings are thus inspired by nature, music and joys of life since, as the author himself admits, the art makes him free and gives him private mental paradise full of intense feelings.

Teodor Buzu: watercolor holiday

The work of Teodor Buzu is inextricably tied with a style of painting that is essential for the artist, namely the watercolor painting. When mastered to perfection and employed reverentially, this technique offers an endless variety of transparent tones, subtle shades and depth degrees. This being so, it is easy to disclose any insincerity, hesitation or lack of purpose. With this painter, however, we are quick to realize that his message is exceptionally strong and contemporary. Watercolor thus becomes so vital and so candid in the artist´s work that the viewer is nothing less than astounded.
